Claudia Grant

History

Claudia Grant was a major character in Robotech as part of the SDF-1 Bridge Crew and Roy’s love interest.  She was the older and more experienced character the others would look to for guidance. Claudia’s heartbreak and emotion is still very memorable. 

Matchbox never made an action figure of Claudia in 1985 which is one of the reasons I started making cardboard action figures years ago. I wanted characters that were never made into toys or the detail I was looking for. Toynami finally made a 4.25 inch Claudia Grant figure in 2021 in a line of Robotech action figures but her legs really didn’t move due to the stiff plastic dress which was disappointing. Only having head, shoulder, and knee articulation was not much of an action figure to me but more of a mini statue. 

Once I made Lisa Hayes, I just made the body slightly bigger since Claudia is taller and they wear the same uniform in a different color.
